As if the One Page games aren’t enough, I decided to go through with writing a text adventure. A text adventure using only .BAT files. Why would anyone do that you ask? I have no idea. Not sure why I even did it. A long time ago, I remember playing a PC game, and I was looking around on the cd to see what was there, and I found a curious .bat file. I ran it, (yes, not knowing what it was..), and to my surprise it was a text adventure! I don’t remember anything else about it, or what game it was from.

A little while ago I was poking around somewhere, and came across another text adventure written entirely using .bat commands. Then recently at work I was doing some .bat scripting, and I had the thought why not go ahead and write my own text adventure? So I started it on my lunch break at work and than finished it a couple of days later.

So, without further delay, here it is. Simply extract the files and double click play.bat.
